This thread is where I will put my thoughts on the classic series (and maybe the whole show) as I watch the entirety of each season for the first time. This will be my pinned tweet.

I’ve finished Season 2 for the first time. It was amazing.

I really enjoyed the Bill and Ben episodes, but my favorite overall was Wrong Road. The viaduct at night is just so beautiful.

I really think they should’ve added Missing Coach, though. The twins’ arc felt so short.
Now I just got done watching Season 3 for the first time.

Definitely my favorite season so far.

Every episode was an exciting new story, I particularly enjoyed episodes with minor characters as leads.

My favorite episode was Heroes (It was really hard to pick a favorite).
Just finished Season 4 for the 1st time. It was on par with S3 for sure.

Stepney is one of my favorites, I loved his theme and episodes. The music & sets of the SKR episodes blew me away too.

My favorite episode was Gallant Old Engine. I wish Rheneas got more screentime in S4.
Season 5 was exciting. There was so much action and a lot of insane crashes.

But what really sold the episodes was THE MUSIC. Mike and Junior’s score was incredible.

I also loved that so many minor characters got lead episodes.

My favorite episode was Rusty and the Boulder.
Just finished TATMR again.

I remember watching this movie a million times on VHS when I was younger, each time drinking Orange Fanta in a VeggieTales cup.

Rewatching it, I think my favorite characters are Junior and Splodge. Splodge’s banter is so funny.
S6 is one of the most nostalgic seasons for me, with Percy’s Chocolate Crunch being my most watched VHS.

The entire season has its own unique feeling to me. The newbies are strong characters.

My favorite episode is Gordon Takes a Tumble because of the atmospheric night scenes.
Finished S7. Out of all classic seasons, this was the most unfamiliar.

Mike and Junior really went out with a bang. This season has some of their best work.

Fergus Breaks the Rules is really nostalgic for me, but Something Fishy is my favorite. I’ll explain more in separately.
I recently watched the Jack and the Pack spinoff. I really wish they had continued it, but the episodes we got were great. It felt really realistic.

My favorite episode might be The Lightning Tree because of that scene where Alflie, Oliver, and Kelly hold up the tree.
S8: I hate how empty Sodor feels, you rarely see engines besides the main cast and it seems like so many awesome characters just dropped off the face of the earth

Favorite episode: Thomas and the Firework Display. I love the nighttime scenes & it’s a good Thomas and James story.
I watched CAE, nothing too special. All of the songs are awesome though.

I really wish they kept this kind of character diversity in the HiT episodes, even if it was just cameos (I mean come on, we got Derek, Daisy, Lady, Diesel 10, Rusty, George, Bill and Ben all in one movie)
S9 was more interesting to me than S8. IMO the newbie episodes were some of the most fun to watch, but in an objective sense they weren’t that good and the characters were made solely for merch. Also most of the NG episodes suck.

My favorite episode was either Respect for Gordon
or Duncan and the Old Mine.
Season 10 done. It was really hard to watch, so many bad episodes and a lot of characters were portrayed incorrectly (Edward Strikes Out).

However, there were a few hidden gems like my favorite, Duncan’s Bluff. Thomas and Skarloey’s Big Day Out was an interesting concept too.
S11 done, no picture this time since my engines are stored away.

It was a slight step up from S10, but not by much. The newbies (minus Billy) are some of the HiT era's best. Also D&D finally appeared again.

Favorite episode: Hector the Horrid. I wish he had returned to CGI.

Watched The Great Discovery in full for the first time. I actually liked it a lot, very action packed and one of the only Thomas movies to use many minor characters. The songs were great too. Overall, I would watch it again.
By the way, I have several overdue updates to this thread. Don’t get confused, I’m not watching all this once, rather over a few months.
