alright i need to go on a quick tangent before i sleep. i know that bts has helped so many of us in such huge ways but i feel like a lot of ppl think bts are gonna come and save the world and challenge every single flaw in our society and you need to stop

yes bts are making waves in the music industry, changing norms, breaking a lot of barriers for poc but when you put this pressure on them to do absolutely Everything in absolute perfect morality you’re just gonna end up bitter and disappointed in every little thing

i’ve noticed it increasingly involving like, capitalism discussions and stuff like that and it’s just getting frustrating bc does capitalism suck ass? of course. but why are you expecting bts to come and dismantle it just bc they’re critical of it. they?? don’t have that power??

no single person or group has that power so if you keep thinking that they’re gonna come and solve all the world’s problems it’s just not fair to yourself, to bts, and to everyone you subject your disdain to. they help us in the ways they CAN. by providing comfort

i’m just using capitalism as an example but it can apply to so many things. bts are humans. i know thats obvious but i still feel like ppl like to detach them from that and see them as these saviours and it’s not healthy. understand their limits or else you’ll just b disappointed

idk how to close this out properly but i just feel like we all have a responsibility to have a healthier relationship with ourselves and with bts. it’s not fair to put them on a pedestal so high that they literally cannot reach. understand their limits. that’s all i guess

also just to be clear this is just my opinion and if you don’t agree that’s totally fine i’m just airing out my thoughts
