A few things on my mind tonight at 8:25 PM on September 27, 2020...

1) Just watched another episode of Ted Lasso. If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out. It's one of the best comedies of television.

2) I have no idea why I haven't used a meat thermometer to kill someone in a horror movie yet. But HELLO!!??!!??

3) Why my wife is STILL wearing clothes that can't go through the dryer on month 7 of a pandemic boggles my mind.

4) The fact that Trump paid only 750 dollars in taxes, when he claims to be one of the successful businessmen of all time is... INSANE!

5) The new Prince Sign O The Times box set is perhaps the best thing I've ever heard. Sign O The Times is the BEST PRINCE ALBUM OF ALL TIME. And if you disagree, I'm really sorry... but you're WRONG!

6) Quarantine depression is real. And if you're feeling it... if you're feeling sad and angry and frustrated... YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I am right there with you. These last few months have SUCKED. I'm sorry. I just want you to know that you have friends in this.

7) I stumbled upon this photo today. It makes me incredibly happy. It was on the set of my first directing job... a little indie called Kids in America and this little kid sitting on my lap is going to college this year. LOVE.

8) Something traumatic happened to me today. I was at the park and a fight broke out amongst a bunch of people. A guy was trying to take his kid away from his ex-wife. Punches were thrown. People jumped in. And I picked up my phone to call the police... (1/2)

...and I DIDN'T CALL! Several people that were involved were black... and I just thought... am I going to be okay if this thing escalates and turns violent BECAUSE of the police. And I can't get it out of my head. It all ended peacefully. The cops DID show up (after people left).

Sorry, but 3/2. I just needed to finish this thread. I am so fucking sad that I didn't feel good about calling the cops. Thank God that everything ended peacefully. But fuck! What the fuck!?!?
