LEFTIST BIBLE MEGA THREAD

The entire Book of Psalms up to 51 with emphasis on leftist lines, themed around community/people, poverty/struggle, defeating oppressors, and more.

Source: My 1982 KJV Bible.
Note: All passages are obviously from the Book of Psalms, so lines will be quoted by lines as follows to help lower the character limit of each individual post in this thread:

Psalm 1:5-6 ➡ 1:5-6
Also, as the language of the KJV Bible can be inaccessible especially to those with dyslexia, ADHD, and other LDs etc. I am translating the passages as closely as possible into more modern vocabulary.
If you pray and use the Psalms to do so, I have listed intentions for prayer at the start of each quote from the Psalms. Feel free to disregard that if it is not helpful for you personally. If you would like to pray with these or other intentions based on these lines, go ahead!
To stop interference or remove an unwanted person from a group:

"Therefore they shall not stand with us; No sinners in our congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the good, but the evil shall perish." 1:5-6
To break up a conspiracy against a person or group:

"Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us." 2:3
To help ease acute insomnia, anxiety:

"Have mercy and hear my prayer. Lord, lift up the light of your countenance upon us; I will lay down and sleep, for only you, Lord, set me to rest safely." 4:1-8
For deliverance from evils:

"Have mercy for I feel weak, heal me for my bones and soul are vexed. For how long, Lord? Deliver me in your mercy." 6:2-4
To call upon God's protection of those fighting for righteous causes:

"My defense is from God, who saves the upright in heart. Those doing evil shall have their evil come down upon their own plate." 7:10-16
Against oppressors of the poor:

"The wicked in their pride persecute the poor; Let them be taken by their own evils and swarmed in their own hate, for the Lord abhors misguided boasters." 10:2-3
To bring God's fury upon oppressors or the hateful:

"Upon the wicked God shall rain snares, fire, and brimstone. A horrible tempest shall be the portion of their cup." 11:6
To cast evil people away and raise up the good:

"An evil person is condemned by the Lord; The evil swear to their own agonies, while honoured are those who know the light." 15:4
To support protesters and those on the ground, especially those in shield walls:

"I have set the Lord as my right hand; I shall not be moved." 16:8
For safe travel:

"Hold up my goings, so that my footsteps never slip." 17:5
For protesters seeking sanctuary in churches:

"The Lord hears your day of struggle, may God defend you; Sending help from the sanctuary, strengthening you..." 20:1-2
For protection / for group cohesion and safety at protests:

"Be not far from me, for trouble is near." 22:11
For bravery in the face of fear or threats:

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for God is with me, whose rod and staff comfort me." 23:4
For a successful, safe protest or to pray for union negotiation victory:

"Oh my God, I trust in you; Let me go unashamed, let my enemies fail to triumph over me." 25:2
To keep people energised when it rains at a protest, demo, event, union meeting, or other gathering:

"The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; God thunders gloriously." 29:3
To bless protesters, street medics, food cart operators, and others on the ground:

"Oh Lord, fight against those who fight against us. Take up your shield and buckler, and stand up with those who strive with me. Drive away our persecutors." 35:1-3
For strength and motivation to carry on; Against oppressors:

"Fret not because of evildoers, do not mind those who create inequity. For they shall soon wilt like dead grass, and wither as plucked herbs." 37:1-2
To seek hope, to believe a better future is possible:

"We are to be brought up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, with our feet set upon rock. Our goings shall be established." 40:2
For the poor:

"Blessed are the poor in God's eyes; The Lord shall deliver them from trouble, strengthen them on their sick beds, prevent them from falling into the hands of their enemies." 41:1-3
Against oppression:

"God, plead our case against an ungodly nation; Deliver us from the deceitful and the unjust." 43:1
To read once home or otherwise safe after tear gas exposure:

"Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean; Wash me and I shall shine like fresh snow." 51:7
It wouldn't let me add more posts after this for some reason lmao but I hope to get through the entire Book of Psalms (leftist lines, at least) in future threads! ✊✨
