After war was over, Rishi Ved Vyas ordered all the Pandavas that they have committed a sin of killing their own clan, their teachers, brahmins etc and only Lord Shiva can forgive them- so they should go to Himalayas where Bholenath lives..and thus began the trip to Swargarohini

All Pandavas, together with Draupadi embarked on their journey to take refuge under Lord Shiva.....under the leadership of the eldest of the brothers - Dharmraj Yudhishthir....Arjun is carrying his Gandeev...Bhim, Sahadev, Nakul- all are carrying their fav weapons.....

First of their destination is the Dhaam of Baba Kedar at Sri Kedarnath- Paanchali is with them...All are doing JaiKara of Har Har Mahadev, thinking nothing but abt Shiva....they worship Bhairon & are searching for Bholenath.... Bholenath is hiding from them as a Bull....

Bhima immediately recognized bull to be Shiva & caught hold of it by its tail & hind legs. But bull disappeared into ground and later reappeared in parts, with the hump raising in Kedarnath as a linga to take form of Shiva. Pandavas then worship & complete pinsdaan of ancestors

After completing puja & doing tarpan of their ancestors, Pandavas headed towards south..... in the direction of Second Kedar at MadMaheshwar where Bull form of Shiva reappeared as madhya navel (nabhi)... where Shiva resides in His MadMast form...but Shiva eluded them here as well

So Pandavas completed their worship and after giving tarpan of their ancestors now headed towards the highest Kedar- 3rd of the PanchKedar....The Bull form of Lord Shiva had reappeared in the form of Bahu- Arms but angry Shiva continued eluding Pandavas..

At every place, Pandavas kept constructing temples of Lord Shiva - later renovated by Adi Shankara...Panchali was very much enamoured by the beauty of the place...from Tungnath, 5 brothers & Panchali reached Rudranath- where Shivs’s face is visible in YogNidra in his Vishnu roop!

At Rudranath, Pandavas & Panchali we’re so happy to see the face of Bholenath- offered Chandan, Dhoop and Naivaidya to Bholenath- feeling elated after darshan of Shiva’s face, Pandavas and Panchali headed towards Kalpeshwar- the 5th of PanchKedar....

Walking bare-feet, all the five brothers & Panchali reached Urgam and from there to Kalpeshwar....all their feet have blisters but Pandavas are happy that their desire of meeting Shiva will soon get fulfilled & they keep walking....to finally reach Kalpeshwar...

At Kalpeshwar, Bholenath reappeared in His Jata form- why place is also called Jateshwar.... Kalpeshwar is also famous for as the place where sages & Rishis used to meditate..After offering Puja to Shiva at Kalpeshwar & darshan of Shiva,Pandavas decide to not return to Hastinapur

Just as they crossed Bhimpul, Draupadi was the first one to leave her body (25:25) and left all the five brothers. All brothers constructed a temple of their Kuldevi in her memory.... next to leave his body was Nakul @ Lakshmi mor (26:15) & Sahadev @ Sahastradhara (26:40)

At Chakrateerth, Arjuna left his body & next to leave his body was Bhima at Satopanth.... now Yudhishthir is left all by himself - which is when he is joined by a dog..as they reached Swargarohini, he saw PushpakVimaan waiting for him..Yudhishthir insisted on taking dog along

Yudhishthir and dog left with the messenger in the Pushpak.... हे पँडो तुम्हारी जय हो, धर्म की जय हो.... end!
