And to bring it back to NYC: the dehumanizing language used by UWS groups trying to get people experiencing homelessness out of their neighborhood and even by newspapers like NY Post — routinely calling people “vagrants,” for example — is dangerous. (3/)
When people are portrayed as “less than human” it’s not a huge leap to policies that move them about like pawns on a chessboard and worse. (End)
