So let's talk about #positivity, before it gets a bad rep and is cancelled lol😄 There's a BIG difference between choosing to create a positive mindset & avoiding uncomfortable feelings and topics. A Big difference!
Forcing yourself to be #positive, rather than FEEL and DEAL with uncomfortable emotions and experiences isn't actually BEING positive. It's avoidant and inauthentic.
It's important to give ourselves and other people the space to feel & address all our emotions. From that space of emotional honesty & #selfawareness we can make a wise, constructive choice about how to move forward to improve our #wellbeing.
That might include filling yourself with positive, uplifting messages, images, and information to offset the overwhelming amount of upsetting and scary news and experiences Life has been throwing your way. That's different than forced or fake positivity. #toxicpositivity
In summary, #authentic #positivity that moves you toward being more of who you really are= yes😄 Forced or fake "positivity"(a.k.a #toxicpositivity) to avoid feeling or dealing with uncomfortable stuff= no 😅 Hopefully this helps save positivity from being cancelled😎
