I have no idea why anyone would think this is a good thing

I always think of it this way: yes, having millions of dollars would be fun, for a while.

But I think it would be much more fun to go outside and see everybody happy and satisfied that they are making a decent wage and can afford housing and healthcare and everything else.

Instead of locking myself in a mansion, I'd be much happier hanging out with normal folk who aren't constantly dealing with economic stress.

I would be happier playing Halo with my buddies without one of them worrying about whether he can afford his kid's hospital bills.
