Teaching is not an easy field. I’m tired of people thinking it’s a cop out or the easy way out. Noooo!!! Do you know how hard it is to create a lesson plan, a beautiful one, just to begin teaching it and realize everyone is confused, so you have to go back to square one.

Dealing with parents who either hover their kids or don’t care about them or their education at all. Thinking “wow that lesson went well” just to get the test back and everyone fail. Having to reteach information that they should have learned in the previous grade.

Figuring out why Little Jimmy is in 4th grade and is reading at a 1st grade level and feeling the pressure to get Little Jimmy 4 grade levels of reading because he needs to be on a 5th grade level by the time he leaves your class.

Having to break down information so small so they can understand it, grasp it, and hold it in their heads long enough to be successful on the STAAR test.

Education is not the easy way out. We don’t get coloring pages for homework. It’s hard just like any other major.
