I don’t understand why our tax laws are set up so the wealthy pay nothing in taxes and I pay thousands and thousands every year. I’m a pastor and my wife is a school teacher. If this is true, if he broke the law, lock him up. If he didn’t, change the law. I’m tired of this. https://twitter.com/maggienyt/status/1310326277216362497
3/ If your defense here is that “no laws were broken,” it’s just an example of how tax law is written to benefit the wealthy and burden regular people. And, that is unjust. Whether Trump cheated or not, I don’t know. I’m not a tax lawyer.
But, this is an unjust system.
4/ And, this of disparity IS a biblical and moral issue. Taxing regular people trying to make it, raise and send kids to college, pay medical bills, etc MORE in real dollars by a multiplied factor than a multimillionaire is

SYSTEMIC INJUSTICE.

There’s your example. Get on it.
5/ Again, I have no idea how to read tax law and Trump’s filings and know if he paid right amount or not. But, issue is our system puts a larger burden proportionally on middle income people than the wealthy who exploit thousands of loopholes designed for them. That is wrong.
