I don’t really mind it. I feel lucky that I can make a little money on the side as a writer. More importantly, we live in a society and I like some of the things that taxes buy. Roads and schools, state and national parks, all kinds of stuff.

But it’s brutal. Paychecks come in and I have to put them aside and count only a fraction of the money is mine so that I can pay my taxes responsibly.
