Today I have come to impart some knowledge with my little intellect. Thread will be long, so please keep patience.
Q.1- Why learn Sanskrit?
Sanskrit is one of the most systematic language of the world. As many conscious learners have experienced joy, clarity, purity and peace.
It is a perfect harmonizer that perfectly attunes and balances the body, mind and soul. Chanting or listening to Sanskrit Mantras or even reciting the flow of the Sanskrit alphabet could generate a very beautiful effect on the mind and on the body.
Its vibrational quality has a direct impact on the mechanics of brain. It helps us to enhance memory and concentration ability. It offers an expansive view of human nature and its role in creation.
In this era of unprecedented change and uncertainty, it can be a valuable tool to assess and look afresh at society. "The people who memorize long Sanskrit texts have brains that literally expand and become better with sharper memory and cognitive skills". Dr. James Hartzell.
Formalized tradition of oral Sanskrit text memorization and recitation, mastering the exact pronunciation of multiple 40k to 100k words oral texts.
From my experience and experiences of others, we can testify that simply listening or reciting Sanskrit hymns, verses, or mantras has a very profound soothing, healing and revitalising effect. Proper pronunciation which is very important for generating the balancing effect of
the sound. "Various Sanskrit mantras including specific sequences of the sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet are described as a part of the inner structure of the circular centers of the energy body" Said by Sir John Wodrof.
These kind of sounds as well as other mantras were used since times immemorial for the purpose of solving and avoiding problems in life, and for healing various aspects of the energy body and the physiology.
There are as many as 30 million Sanskrit Manuscripts with around 7 million manuscripts preserved in India itself. This precisely means that the magnitude of works in Sanskrit surpasses that of Greek and Latin put together.
We already know that first Sanskrit word is OM which we commonly chant during meditation, is made of three sounds A U and M that bring a state of awareness to the mind. By chanting it we re-align ourselves with our natural state of being one that is by nature calm and peaceful.
So the main crux of this thread is, we should use Sanskrit daily, if you cant understand the meaning of mantras just recite it for some days without meaning. It helps you to create interest and curiosity to learn. and if you have time to learn Sanskrit the please go for it.
Next thread will be on the extinction of Sanskrit language. How can we revive it again?
That's all about this thread if you find any error inside it feel free to mention. Spread it to your near ones.
