As you may know I've tested and invested in a lot of LED bulbs over the years, and these Cree 75w 3000k High-CRI ones (last picture) designed for enclosed fixtures (high heat resistance) are my new favorite. Fantastic stuff.

I've tested from 60w to 250w equivalent bulbs, and 60w is just too dim and are only standard due to legacy technologies.

Additionally, LED bulbs have gotten much better the last few years you may not realize.

Modern 75w are a good balance in price and brightness.
CEILING FANS:
Your light sockets were designed for low-wattage candela bulbs. Except LEDs are low wattage but much brighter.

These adapters are a MUST BUY for any bedroom.

Regarding color temperature:
I like 3000k in bedroom and a mix of 5000k and 3000k in kitchen workspaces and hallways.
I'm so passionate about this because as a young person I moved into an apartment and put some standard lightbulbs in the few socket available, and just... didn't do anything else.

I lived in a poorly-lit cave for years.

It really really screwed with my mental health and mood. https://twitter.com/swiftonsecurity/status/1203467184590196736
If you want REALLY bright LEDs with heavy ceramic heat spreaders, these SANSI are hidden gems.

I use these in some ceiling fans and directly over my kitchen counter. https://twitter.com/swiftonsecurity/status/1210367219898703872
