1. starting off with one of the most commonly heard phrases, “gon is a monster”
gon is literally the furthest thing from a monster. he is 12 year old boy who suffered from SM trauma n when it came down to it he had absolutely no idea how to deal with the pain and grief he felt

~and yeah he pretty much lost it. and that brings me to,, 2. gon overacted about kites death. the thing about kite and gons relationship, is that it really was not anything special. if you pay attention kite treats killua and gon exactly the same, yet gon still formed this extreme
~ connection with kite. kite was one the only thing that mattered to him in that moment. gon was quiet literally in a blind rage. he never really had to deal with grief or loss ever before,, so when he felt he was responsible for it and then pinned it all on pitou of course he
~ overreacted. but he had absolutely no idea how else to deal with this. kite was his one true connection to ging. he cherished him, this was all a result from trauma and loss he feels from his father leaving him and gon felt it happened all over again and it was his fault, again
3. gon is a sociopath. this one i don’t quiet understand. now a sociopath is a person who feels no emotions. If you even watched the show you can see that gon is one of the most emotionally available characters. he cares about every single person he encounters.
~in the early hunter exam arc all the way to the chimera ant arc gon felt sympathy for most everyone he encountered. he’s very bad at dealing with emotions and is one of the most stubborn characters as well. i think he represents a 12 year old boy who has family issues perfectly
~ i don’t think there is anyone one could classify gon as a “sociopath”. you could say he is faking all this emotion to use others to get to his ultimate goal,, meeting ging. but if gon was a sociopath he would not care about meeting ging and could’ve left killua and his friends

~two of them. yes obviously it is about gon finding ging but i view it more as both gon and killua growing together. 6. gon doesn’t love killua. for this i’ll just enter some clips and pls explain how it doesn’t show gons love. gons main focus is really trying to find ging
~ gon obviously loves killua very much. if you looked at the video above at all you know that. i think killua has never experienced kindness from anyone before gon so of course he’s gonna feel differently about it. in my opinion
i think that gon loves killua just as equally and would do absolutely anything for him. now #7. gon is selfish. this one i could literally argue forever on
people hold the chimera ant arc again gon SO much. especially killua stans who blame him for this scene:

~everyone who watched hates this scene lawl
but it’s not gons fault at all and shouldn’t be held against him. you can see in his eyes and in his voice he isn’t himself. as i mentioned before he is in an absolute blind rage. he literally kills himself trying to accomplish

~his goal. so yes gon obviously did not realize the depth of what he was saying. and if you look further into this it’s even more interesting. as i said before kite treats gon and killua equally. yet gon genuinely believes that him and kites relationship is so much more
deep rooted. you would think that gon has know kite his entire life because of these scenes. but in reality it’s only been a few weeks. this shows how much trauma gon has. and he obviously has never dealt with it before so he broke. this scene is very sad for killua
but if you think about it it’s just as heartbreaking for gon. his eyes and voice tell you everything,, listen to any other time he’s interacted with killua. he loves killua so much and the fact that he would even say this really shows the amount of pain he was enduring
~in conclusion gon isn’t selfish ur just dumb <3
8. gon is childish. first of all gon is... a child. for his age he is actually very mature and the things that he does literally no other child could do so your point is... invalid???? lol anyways here some cute pics bc i need it
~also adding onto how gon doesn’t love killua. gon was the main character, so yes the arcs were about him accomplishing something. so killua was there for him. if gon was helping killua with something he 100% would have worked just as hard to accomplish it.
~when killua went back home gon did anything he could to get back. he refused to give up and leorio and kurapika recognized that and helped him. and in this situation he had no contact with killua. killua didn’t ask him for anything, gon just wanted to see him again and be friends
~ so,, if the roles were flipped and gon was helping killua with something then yes, he would work just as hard to not let his best friend down
