Restoration of the original cover to the Sega Saturn version of Fighting Vipers, using digital sources files from the Gamepro press art archive. Much thanks to @biggestsonicfan for sending this my way!
I was able to fix the illustrator files included in that archive, and relink all the files. So now we know that "Sega Saturn Grey" is actually just CYMK Black at 7%. This may interest @LimitedRunJosh, ahahaha.
Maybe more interesting (show some love to Bug, pls), here's the restored cover file to Virtual On! https://www.dropbox.com/s/u9aa3n853fwstia/Virtual_On_Cover_Fixed.zip?dl=0
Now for everyone's favorite game franchise, Mr. Bones!! It looks like the final cover to this game has a callout added to it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ptzdf4a9s2ksnm/Mr._Bones_Cover_Fixed.zip?dl=0
Here's a random googled scan of the final cover with the callout. All these mockups were done for press purposes, so they're not the full packaging files, and often they're not final.
This one was a little trickier, since it was stored as a quark express file. But I managed to get it linked together and converted into an indesign project... Virtual Cop 2! https://www.dropbox.com/s/dc1b51aqpe534o4/Virtua_Cop_2_Cover_Fixed.zip?dl=0
This one's interesting because it includes full vectors for the logo, and the front cover is built off of the Sega Saturn manual cover template it looks like.
And here's NiGHTS! This one isn't as nice, though, since the illustrator files are just flattened rasters and the resolution is quite low...
And that's it! If you don't want to mess with the original project files I linked, here's some full-res (at 600dpi) PNGs of all the covers. https://www.dropbox.com/s/afgwg4486h0afl4/Sega_Saturn_Cover_PNGs.zip?dl=0
