UPDATE FOR STUDENT TENANTS:

@scotgov has updated their advice re student tenants. Advise that if are able to, you should remain in your student accommodation + you should contact your college, university or student accommodation provider to discuss the support available to you.
They state students may return home but must self isolate for 2 weeks before. The house that you go to must also self isolate for 2 weeks. Whoever picks you up from student halls should contact ur accommodation on how to pick up safely + should not use public transport.
Current restrictions do not prevent formation of new households when moving to a place that will become your only/main residence. They state that when 1st moving into a new household (in this scenario, that means moving home), the advice on self-isolation noted above will apply
The government is directing students to the The Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Act 2020 in terms of getting out of their halls or private halls contracts. This means that students are able to get out of their contract provided they supply their provider with 28 days notice.
If you are having any difficulty with your university halls or purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) provider get in touch! Your union has your back. ( http://Livingrent.org/contact_us )
