Since being published, I've struggled w comparing myself to other authors who write flashier books, are bestsellers, have tons of followers, etc

That thinking is toxic. I've found it's much better for me to narrow down my author goals to one: writing better books than past me

This industry is so tough. The way it's structured encourages competition. Imo, what's helped me in dark moments is remembering that I'm only competing with myself. If I write a better book than my last one, I'm doing great.
