I've seen the open letter in The Times today, so I feel like this needs explaining really simply - criticising JK Rowling is not misogyny. JK Rowling is not being criticised because she's a woman, she's being criticised because she's a bigot. To suggest otherwise is disingenuous.
To suggest the criticism of JK Rowling is misogyny also ignores the large number of women, both cis and trans, who have spoken out against her bigotry. Attempting to silence their legitimate criticism by claiming "misogyny" isn't feminism, it's a cult of personality.
1) This tweet contains no insults.
2) Their putting my tweet in a "receipts file". Like, they save tweets that are anti-bigotry because they want to save up for a big "gotcha" moment that will never come. The "gender critical" (transphobia) movement is a cult.
The fact that you've been able to send that tweet in the first place would disprove your comment that I "allow no dissent". I just don't want replies full of bigotry clogging up the tweet, thanks. https://twitter.com/annmariestacey/status/1310364718494879753?s=20
