i had a bf & one broad made it no secret that she fancied him by always animatimg herself around him and teasing the inside jokes they had. i never showed interest or envy, and at a party her and i were grabbing drinks when she 'jokingly' stated she could take him if she wanted.

bemused i said, "i don't care if leaves me for you." and i really didn't.

even my wording was methodical. i didn't say "i don't care if you take him" as that would imply that he was something valuable to be possessed & even if he was she needed to think i thought otherwise -

i walked off, nonchalance about me, and struck up a conversation with another guy. this was intentional too as the typical gf would flock to her bf to mate guard and here i was continuing to leave mine unattended.

it's worth noting that my bf ended up converging towards me after that signalling that i was the prize, meanwhile i didn't care if he was.

in less than a week she on to the next & so over my bf that he confronted me, assuming that i'd bothered with threatening her. i had to make it clear ─ i don't get jealous. i get gone.

the world fears the unmoved woman and the envy from our intrasexual counterparts is inevitable.
