SEVENTEEN'S BEAUTIFUL, MEANINGFUL & OUTSTANDING IMAGERIES IN THEIR CHOREOGRAPHIES WITH SEMI-ANALYSIS; a continuous thread. #세븐틴 @pledis_17

1. FALLIN' FLOWER
there's no denying that the whole choreography is very aesthetic, but let me break it down. @pledis_17

•THE MAIN FLOWER FORMATION - this is seen in the intro, first verse and bridge of the song. SVT creates a beautiful image of a full-bloomed flower which is best shown in aerial shot. @pledis_17

•GROWING VINES - the members surround joshua and jun as if they're like a vine-y plant. @pledis_17

•WALKING IN A FIELD - the members' hands imitate how the plants sway in an open field while kwannie walks through. @pledis_17

•SWEPT BY THE WIND - the members characterize how petals or leaves move when someone [minghao] passes by. @pledis_17

•THE BLOOM - this imagery shows how a flower beautifully blooms from it being a bud for the very first time. @pledis_17

2. FEARLESS
•THE DRUM - right at the intro, SVT's co-dancers formed a drum-like image. vernon then started to strike the drums producing the first beats of the song. @pledis_17

•REBIRTH - with the lyrics 'New day, New night, Born new me', wonwoo was sitting at the top among the rest--confident and not worried about those who try to drag him down. @pledis_17

•POISON APPLE - with the rest of the members and co-dancers forming trees, wonwoo picked a fruit that seems to be an apple and ate it. this is during the lyrics "what has bothered me so much? come to think of it, it's nothing" referring to the poison from FEAR. @pledis_17

3. MY MY
•THE VOYAGE - in this, the group creates a scenery of a ship sailing as the members are paddling & navigating while being led by the captain [woozi]. the sea is also recognizable as some members form waves. @pledis_17

•THE WAVE - the members became one big wave as seungkwan was floating above it. a very detailed addition to this is how the members move to show how the wave 'crashed' at the end. @pledis_17

•CAMPFIRE - with s.coups being the fire, the members gathered around to play and have a good time. @pledis_17

4. THANKS
•HIDDEN MESSAGE - this routine makes a hidden message that can be best viewed through an aerial shot. from kneeling down, the member who stood up formed letters T, then N and X consecutively--which is the abbreviation for their title track @pledis_17

•THE SWAYING - two members were being surrounded by the swaying hands. the two took control over its direction like how the wind made tall grasses move. @pledis_17

•THE COLLAPSE - with the wave of cheol's arms, the rest of the members made a beautiful wave as they went down to the ground. @pledis_17

5. SNAP SHOOT
•TO THE PLAYGROUND - right at the beginning, the members [except for jeonghan] formed a house. the rest followed JH out passing thorugh WW & SC which were 'the door/gate'. SVT being theater kids,+ @pledis_17

+ proceeded to do a little skit--kids at the playground: MH in a swing, WW swimming and SC & VN playing what seems to be jegichagi. @pledis_17

•THE FRAME - as shua became the subject of the picture other members position themselves to look like is inside a frame. @pledis_17

•FIX 'EM - SVT shows an image of two persons [DK & MG] trying to fix the picture frame in which members are inside it, moving along the direction. @pledis_17

6. DON'T WANNA CRY
•SQUARE IN MOTION - as woozi was singing his line, the remaining members made 4 lines of 3 forming a square and did a very beautiful & ripple effect. they then proceeded to execute more complex routine+ @pledis_ 17

+ leading to shifting of the square's orientation while maintaining their lines. @pledis_17

•STREET LIGHTS - hoshi got the inspiration while he was walking outside with his earphones on. the lampposts lit up as cheol and han passed by, expressing a sentimental vibe. @pledis_17

•CROSSED PATHS - the group formed 2 lines and then seamlessly passed by each other without them bumping. in an aerial shot, it is evident that SVT formed letter X and ended the routine with an inverted V. @pledis_17

7. WITHOUT YOU
•REVERSED ENDING - starting with DWC's ending pose, the members then executed a routine that seems to be DWC's last sequence ... but in reversed motion. @pledis_17

•LAMP POSTS - since this song is a sequel of DWC, this element was also used in their choreo to show the connection between the two. seen in the choreo that woozi pulled the string to open the lights and eventually collapses as MG passes by. @pledis_17

•THE FLIP - in a straight line, DK flips the other members to turn back--making a satisfying domino effect. another part of the song, one member flips the other while walking for them to face another direction. @pledis_17

8. OUR DAWN IS HOTTER THAN DAY
•THE LIGHT & THE WIND - as hoshi's part went "far away moonlight become our lights", the members gestured their hands as if they were blinking lights. in DK's part which has a part+ @pledis_17

+ "wind-blowing", the members motioned as if they were being blown by the wind. @pledis_17

•CARATS & SEVENTEEN- mingyu and cheol made a diamond by linking the tip of their hands and feet. right after, members gather to form seventeen's logo. @pledis_17

9. BOOM BOOM
•THE LOGO - even before ODIHTD, the boys already included their logo [17] in the choreo, only that this one is in a bigger scale. @pledis_17

10. OH MY
•SLIDING PUZZLE - seen in the intro and first verse the members move along the direction which wonwoo and shua control them to. @pledis_17

•ENDING GUITAR - joshua played the guitar which is formed by seungkwan and dino. later on, the members turned back and created an imagery of how strings move when strumming the guitar. @pledis_17

•ANGLED MIRROR - the intro shows an image of WW standing in front of an angle between 2 mirrors--which explains why the "reflection's" [the 2 lines] position. @pledis_17

you can use this as reference to the description i made. the one with the sticker is the real subject & the reflections at the side is presented by the two lines. @pledis_17

•MIRROR 1 - with HS &WW + JH & JN as main subject for the choreo, boys from both sides create a symmetry and eventually being broken up by SC. @pledis_17

•DIAGONAL - with WZ not being part of it, the 4 members mimick each other as if there's a mirror positioned in a diagonal manner, passing through the center [woozi]--MH mirroring SC & DN to SK. @pledis_17

•3-WAY MIRROR - still WZ as the center, the boys create a 3 mirrors here: HS w/ MH , DK w/ SK & VN with JN [almost forms like a clock] @pledis_17

•[iconic]12 vs 1 - JH eventually broke away from being one of the reflections & proceeds to perform a 12 vs 1 mirroring sequence with the rest of the members as his reflection. @pledis_17

12. LILILI YABBAY
•LOTUS FLOWER - as the intro, the performance unit makes formed a beautiful flower using their arms, which resembles a lotus flower. @pledis_17

•TELEKINESIS - dino seems to control the members as a unit with his hand. @pledis_17

•CHAIN & ITS REACTION - this whole routine screams absolute synchronization. the members move in sync with their arms linked, and ended the sequence with a satisying chain reaction. @pledis_17

•THE CLOCK- the members formed a clock which made a full 12-hour turn, fast-forwarded. @pledis_17

13. 247 - along with moonwalker & shhh, 247 is one of the sequels of lilili yabbay which is why there are LY elements present in the choreo. @pledis_17

•THE CLOCK [2] + SHADOW - this somehow became a continuation to DN's part in LY. the unit briefly formed a clock by which its hands are moving in a fast-forward manner. afterwards, members followed walking dino and stopped at some point like a frozen shadow. @pledis_17

•CHAIN REACTION [2] - without actually linking the arms of the members, hoshi started the chain, passed it to the rest and later on, a reversed chain occured after minghao's turn. [this is one of my personal faves] @pledis_17
