DATA: We are seeing more cases across all age groups with increases now in 65+ age groups, and sharp increases in
#covid19 hospital admissions locally. Increases in deaths are likely to follow. We all have to play our part in protecting individuals and our communities /2

SYMPTOMS: if you have a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, you MUST immediately self isolate and get tested!

TESTING: testing capacity is still limited, however we have put more testing in place wherever possible. Please self isolate and keep trying!

TEST RESULTS: If you get a positive test result you MUST (continue to) self isolate! 10 days from when your symptoms started, or 10 days from when you had the test. Anyone you live with must self-isolate for 14 days from when you start self-isolating.

SOCIAL CONTACT: people should minimise social contact with people from outside their household or social bubble, in any public venue, including pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, places of worship, community centres, entertainment venues, visitor attractions and parks /11

CARE HOMES: People should also not visit friends or family in care homes, other than in exceptional circumstances. Care homes have been advised to restrict visits to these circumstances only!

SHIELDING: we have advised our previously shielded population to only leave the house for essential purposes and to take extra care when they are out and about. Please take this message seriously! /19

GOING TO WORK: people can continue to travel to and from work, however, where an employer, in consultation with their employee, judges an employee can carry out their normal duties from home they should do so. /20

CHILDCARE: You can continue to use early years and childcare settings, including childminders and providers offering before or after school clubs or other out-of-school settings for children. Informal child care is allowed if people are part of a childcare bubble. /21

Thanks for the positive reaction to this thread. My intention is never to scare people, only to warn and inform, so we can get levels of the virus down and keep our communities safe. There is support available if people need it.
