if I wanted to, I could go to a different coffeeshop within a 15 minute walk of my apartment every single day for an entire month, not including Starbucks and Dunkin. and that’s why I can’t leave New York
okay making this into a personal challenge (though giving myself way more than a month), first up is Rose Wolf Coffeeshop! a massive dog named Marvin dragged his owner to the window and was given treats. I got the Witch’s Brew: cold brew, maple, cinnamon, and oat milk... 10/10
second, we’ve got Variety Coffee, which is a chain, albeit a smaller one! super limited, classic coffeeshop menu— I got an iced mocha which is my go-to when I’m intimidated. it’s very good, but would have loved something more inventive.... 6/10
up next we have Campbell & Co. which is also a cheese shop! their shop is a little pricey, but they have a lot of unique and locally sourced items, the staff is super friendly, and my vanilla latte was perfectly balanced..... 8/10
okay lads today we have Mercadito, which focuses on supporting women owned businesses in Argentina! cute aesthetic, nice barista who was singing while she made my coffee & had a very nice voice. coffee was..... all right......... 5/10, would like to go back and try something else
truly I want to say this place is better but my latte was so bitter I tossed half of it
