Selective statistics used in isolation to further personal agendas can be extremely misleading. The recent price adjustment of 94 drugs that actually gives relief to the end user and makes lifesaving drugs locally available is being misrepresented as an exponential price increase

Adrenaline injection, a lifesaving drug being criticized for a 175% increase will now be available locally for an absolute increase of merely Rs. 3.80/vial. Atropine injection another lifesaving medicine being criticized for a 311% inc has gone from Rs. 1.44/vial to Rs. 5.94/vial

Most of these 94 drugs had disappeared out of the local market. For years they were being smuggled and sold for exponentially higher prices with no quality control. With a nominal price adjustment, these drug will now be available locally at much lower prices for the end user.
