I'm not entirely clear why anyone thought George Conway or Mitt Romney were suddenly cool. They're political beings set on fulfilling their agendas. This is prime naivete--seeing people more like how you see yourself rather than how they behave & informed by their own agendas.

Your inability to perceive their agenda is often informed by projections of your own needs and desires onto others. Learn to weave your desires with others while recognizing that you might have differing needs & agendas.

Conway and Romney are clear on theirs. They're committed conservatives. Trump is more an annoyance for them that, like a broken clock, is sometimes right. They'll adjust their climate controls. For progressives, Trump is hell. Not the same.
