My son has been in respiratory ward for two weeks. Doctors can't say what's wrong with him. He's not allowed any visitors. On Thursday and Friday, they put him on oxygen for blood clots and didn't tell either me or his mother.

So frustrating. He's 17 but still a kid. On top of the lung issues, he has ulcerative colitis. He's having the shittest of times. It doesn't help that the doctors aren't talking to him, me or his mum about what's going on. Utter hell.

Update on my son. Doctors carried out a bronchoscopy. They messed up and he ended up with blood clots in the lung. He was on oxygen for two days and the hospital didn't tell me or his mother. He's 17.

They then a) forgot to give him blood thinners which he was meant to get everyday b) didn't feed him. He's down to just over six stone.

They then told him to fast because he needed a procedure. There was no procedure scheduled. Another mess up. Poor kid just wants to go home.

He was asleep when dinner was served last night so they skipped his meal. Later on, they gave him two digestives.

And doctors still don't know what's wrong with him.

@JeaneF1MSP @NicolaSturgeon Please read this thread. My son is being neglected in QEU hospital in Glasgow. Can you get them to look into this?
