I visited Binga this weekend. This short thread shares the highs and lows of my experience.

ROAD NETWORK

The first 60km of Byo - Vic Falls road is bad. Smooth sailing thereafter. Very bad sections after Cross Dete leading to Binga.
ACCOMMODATION

Stayed at Mlibizi Hotel. Place needs major renovations. There is evidence of infrastructure decay over the years. Power and water supply erratic. However, great location next to Zambezi River. Awesome pool for swimming.
EXCURSIONS

Plenty to do in Binga. Crocodile farm. Tonga Museum. Binga Crafts Centre. Binga sand beach. Boat Cruise. Awesome culinary experience too. Enjoyed crocodile meat.
LOW HANGING FRUIT

Binga sand beaches need facilities upgrade. The access road is very narrow and rugged. The tiny mountain cliff road can only take one car at a time. Very limited parking too. No toilets.
MAXIMISING VALUE

From Bulawayo, there is Hwange before you get to Binga. A stop over in Hwange is always ideal, like we did at Ganda Lodge. @ZtaUpdates @PTChimusoro
There is more to Binga than the extreme poverty narrative.

Meanwhile, it's always good to travel as a group. The social interactions add to the totality of the experience. Plan and save in advance.

End.
