LXC, JC's college roommate, started to share secret after secret to him every day. Each one was about his hidden affection for a certain someone.

JC knew that it's foolish to even let himself go through this pain.
But what can he do?
He can't let his feelings go out in the open. Not when he already knew LXC had his eyes on someone already.

LXC looked visibly nervous and upset.
"He... he cooked me breakfast today. He gave me an umbrella cause it might rain. He wore his hair in a bun. He's currently wearing a pair of glasses... He looks wonderful today. Every day. He is actually yo..."

"That's nice." Jiang Cheng interrupted with a chuckle that sounded awkward and fake even to him.
His mind was still reeling and his heart was also breaking so loudly that LXC's words barely registered in his head.
"That's nice." He repeated once again, lips curled into a smile. But JC thought it probably looked like a grimace.

"Okay." LXC breathed out before dashing out of their shared place, leaving JC alone to nurse his broken heart.

"I've dropped clear and obvious hints left and right. FOR HALF A YEAR! I EVEN DESCRIBED HOW HE LOOKED AT THAT MOMENT! At this point, he's just downright ignoring the hints because he doesn't feel the same."

I DON'T REALLY LIKE HOW THIS TURNED OUT BUT I LOVE ANGST THAT COMES FROM MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND SEEMINGLY ONE-SIDED PINING.
