The reccuring theme in this thread seems to be that a rapist& #39;s punishment would be reduced if he marries his victim. What rape victim would even consider marrying her abuser unless the lawmakers have already assumed that a woman& #39;s "worth" is diminished solely because she was-

-raped. And as such has no other option but to marry her abuser, a god-damned rapist. As if this isn& #39;t heinous enough they still managed to make the situation even more beneficial to the rapist by reducing his punishment.

It& #39;s obvious that across ethnic, religions and racial lines the rights and overall well-being of women are always put below that of men. EVEN WHEN THE WOMAN IS THE VICTIM.
