THREAD: An in-depth analysis of Bukayo Saka. He really is an exceptional talent. In this thread, I will provide a detailed piece on his attributes, with the use of annotated diagrams. Like and RT's would mean a lot to me, enjoy
!

Our Hale End Graduate has continued to impress since he made his breakthrough back in the 2018/19 season, where he was handed his full debut against Quarabag. What I love about Bukayo is his attitude and willingness to learn/develop. Mikel Arteta clearly has full faith in our new
no.7 and why wouldn't when you consider his ability to maintain high levels of consistency, regardless of where he plays. Versatility is a key attribute needed in modern-day football and he provides this. Kimmich provided this for Bayern and so does Milner for Liverpool.
Bukayo has expressed creativity in many different ways. His crossing from the wide areas is off the highest order. Very good at receiving the ball with a good touch, getting it out of his feet quickly, and delivering balls into the box that makes it harder for CFs to miss.
For someone still so young and learning his trade, what really impresses me is his vision, awareness, and ability to execute the correct pass. The reason he was our leading assist maker last season was because he possesses the ability to make the right decisions in key areas.
The examples below show how, on numerous occasions, he has received the ball from the left and was awarded the assist after executing brilliant passes. He knows the runs his teammates are going to make and is fully capable of making the correct decisions in possession.
Iâm not a big fan of Bukayo playing on the right but again the evidence is there of him playing a key role and influencing the game on this side. A standout piece of brilliance from him was his pass to Auba for our goal against Leicester at home.
To play in between the lines and in pockets of space is extremely difficult. But again, Saka has shown us that he is fully capable of influencing the game in these sorts of areas. Very good in tight spaces, good ball control and has the awareness and vision to make the difference
Another impressive attribute that Bukayo possesses is his finishing. If given time and space to get his shot off on his left foot, there is every chance that he has the quality and ability to make the difference. Two standout goals from his left foot are shown below.
Although his right foot isnât as lethal, he still isnât shy from having a shot on goal with it, if given the opportunity to do so. A really impressive finish was his goal against Standard Liege. After a nice intricate play with Gabi initially, he provides the finishing touch.
Ball carrying, successful take on's, and dribbling are other great attributes of his. Heâs able to progress the play from deep, drive with the ball and be the catalyst. We saw this against Frankfurt away for the first goal. He picks the ball from deep, progresses the team forward
and demonstrates his ability to make correct decisions. With regard to his dribbling and the ability to go past players, we have seen him do this on a number of occasions. The most notable one was his brilliant piece of skill which sent Lazaro to the cleaners.
We have seen Saka play at LWB, RWB, RW, LW and at LCM. We have even seen him play at LB, although we implemented a system that had Xhaka mainly play there which limited Bukayo's defensive responsibilities. But he still was tasked to provide big defensive performances.
What is really important to note is that in order for Bukayo to continue to flourish, he must be coached correctly. If managed inadequately, his development could be stifled. An example of this is Guendouzi. Although for me he isn't as talented as Saka, you could see that there
is potential in Matteo, despite being a very frustrating player to watch. The common trend in Guendouzi, over the two seasons we have seen him play here, is that he would start the season strong in the first two months, but then his performance levels would dip throughout the
remainder of the campaign. This is common as they will experience periods in the season of poor form because they are so young and still learning their trade. Emery continued to play him which was poor management as it exposed Gunedouzi's deficiencies.Rather than being overplayed
He should have been given time out of the side. But under Arteta, we are in good hands. We have already seen him manage Bukayo's minutes correctly. He knows when to play him, when to leave him out, and give him a breather. I think that learning from Pep and his management of
Phil Foden's Manchester City career would have helped Arteta. Whilst Saka is an exceptional talent and superior to many at his age currently, he still is only 19 and has plenty of aspects that need to be further progressed and developed in his game. He will potentially have
dips in his level of performance and as fans, we have to accept this, and not place to much pressure on his shoulders. Mikel Arteta knows this and I expect to see Saka shine this season and for many more years at the Emirates. Hope you enjoyed the read!

Would love to get your thoughts guys
