A reminder of Rhiannon Spear’s comments re the idea that we all don’t have to accept gender identity ideology, & recognising females as a sex. The MSP she refers to is Joan McAlpine, who was on tv discussing how survivors need access to single sex spaces, I.e. for females only.

Rhiannon sharing a video by Mhairi Black, wherein Mhairi refers to women arguing for single sex spaces as ‘Jeremy Hunts’ while mocking them, which Rhiannon repeats. These women included survivors. In the above link & screenshot below,you will also see the official @theSNP account, retweeted Mhairi Black’s video mocking survivors & referring to women as cunts in rhyming slang. At no point has @NicolaSturgeon or anyone in the SNP leadership addressed this, or apologised.

And then there’s Rhiannon claiming she founded a Yes group when in fact this is demonstrably false, yet she doubled down and created such a hostile environment for a young woman & activist simply telling the truth, that she is now leaving the SNP as a result.

Rhiannon is currently the SNP Women’s Convener & last year she penned an open letter in which she claimed it was a ‘settled legal matter’ that trans people had the ‘right’ to opposite sex services. However this is not true, women’s services can be sex based >

> as is clear from Liz Truss’ statement below. So in other words Rhiannon misrepresented equality protections for women and girls, & not only this but in her letter she vilified those who stood up for women’s sex based rights as anti-trans rights.

Rhiannon Spear is also on the SNP NEC, & it has been acknowledged by the SNP MSP for Glasgow Cathcart, James Dornan, that she was ‘involved in’ an unconstitutional decision to prevent him from being able to stand for the same seat in May 2021 (a decision that has been reversed).

I wrote this thread for the women being gaslit & attacked for expressing how Rhiannon is a danger to our welfare & rights, & for holding Rhiannon accountable for her awful actions. Being a political representative is a privilege, & a party respecting that would welcome scrutiny.
