Dear @cacnigeria1
1-It all started like a joke in 1990, the CSO/NGO cartel that has now embedded it’s crooked ways into our critical institutions like @inecnigeria @nassnigeria, from $48,850 it has turned to a multi million dollar biz
@Banjy47
@3bood021
@Mohamadlapai
2-We were forced to embark on the research becos CSOs/NGOs are supposed to be non profit organizations but hv stubbornly refused to disclose their sources of grants, amount and how they are utilized, meanwhile the founders are all living large
@tfx47
@iam_jibola8211
@drdebodun
3-In this thread we are going to concentrate on @PLACNG & @SituationRoomNg, our painstaking research has revealed that they have assessed €16M which cover 2017-2021 as funded by European Union in component 1 & 2
@Bashola_Balogun
@AvalonGroove
@trolls_queen
@Gasbytweet
4-I have to admit that in some instances it is extremely difficult to separate @PLACNG from @YIAGA like in the €16M above, in another instance @PLACNG also assessed £47.4M for 6 yrs 2014/20 from the UK govt in what is called deepening democracy part 1&2
@MOHD_Ks
@the_davidatta
5-We also discovered that @PLACNG is assessing funds for what they hv termed as training of legislators at the @nassnigeria as can be seen in the previous document, between 2010/2018 they assessed $3,120,000.00 for what they call human rights grant
@unclescholes123
@witan17
6-For the team that did this research we are very concerned that these grants are responsible for the unnecessary alarm and tension that usually precede elections in Nigeria, the CSOs/NGOs raise alarm to attract more funds
@ElderAdewuyi1
@Mide0403
@DrMusabayero
@calmadini
7-This unprecedented inflow of funds into the country under the guise of deepening democracy should be of concern to all Nigerians, can the CSOs/NGOs account for this 2012-15 $40M grant? This is the reason why President @MBuhari must not go back on CAMA.
8-The major problems facing Nigeria is corruption and these CSOs/NGOs are a major part of the corruption cartel, they are not only partisan but are destroying institutions like @inecnigeria and @nassnigeria using the huge DFID funds to compromise officials of these institutions
10-Another intriguing dimension to this sophisticated cartel is that unlike what many Nigns think it appears govt officials at @FinMinNigeria must sign off on these transactions before the funds are released...take a look at the attached receipt, even the media are beneficiaries
11-We are not against DFID funding targeted at deepening our democracy/fighting corruption, what we seek to achieve here is transparency becos CSOs/NGOs can’t be asking for open government while their finances are shrouded in secrecy.
@AdepojuAShittu
@obekpaSA
@dmightyangel
12-Is there any reason why @cacnigeria1 should not enforce tenor codes for CSOs/NGOs that have virtually turned into family business outfits with husbands and wives managing millions of dollars in grants
@MBuhari
@ProfOsinbajo
@DrAhmadLawan
@SpeakerGbaja
@officialEFCC
13-We are also appealing to international donor agencies and foreign governments to invest directly in building schools and health facilities using credible agencies instead of flooding our country with dollars that are diverted by the CSOs/NGOs
@USAID
@FordFoundation
@macfound
14-A whopping $66,900,000.00 disbursed to 96 CSOs/NGOs in Nigeria since 2015 and no accountability yet the @NigeriaGov is not seeing the security implications, who does that? We demand accountability from the CSOs
