You're not helping.

My mom is a nonvoter that registered for the first time in 2016 to vote for Bernie. When he lost she planned to go back to being apolitical because she felt like politicians didn't care about her and had no intention of voting in the general...

I begged her to vote by telling her about Jill Stein's platform and how similar it was to Bernie's. She liked Jill Stein and voted for her. Since she was already voting for Jill Stein, she also voted for Democrats down the ballot.

You shaming someone like her is extremely counter-productive. She didn't vote for Hillary *gasp* in a blue state, but she still supported other Democrats, and you're treating people like her as if THEY'RE the ones to blame.

My mom is STILL getting medical/ambulance bills 7 months after my dad died and has NO way of paying them. M4A is her biggest issue because of this and Democrats have offered fuck all to people like her, except Bernie. Blame Democrats, not her.

Funny enough, she's leaning towards Biden this time even though she thinks he's a "creep" (this is an anti-Trump COVID vote).

You shaming Stein voters convinces no one. If she knew about the vitriol libs spew towards Stein she'd probably say "fuck it" and not vote.

And I'll add, she didn't give a shit that Stein wasn't going to win. The fact that Stein had a platform that addressed her specific needs was enough. New voters aren't playing 4D chess and making strategic calculations--they just want to know someone is looking out for them.
