So today’s finished, nearly done with the pop stars, just Africa/South America left.. I’ll post everything tomorrow. Then ima do 75 fashion designers, since he couldn’t say fashion design itself was more important than that Debussy piece 😂.
Either way excited to do this lil challenge. It’ll only require establishing a way of writing about/studying pop music (and fashion design/porn/whatever gets hated on) like painting or classical music. It’s actually easy if you had access/money. Most historians and journalists
(And these guys), follow a wait till it comes to you reporting method. Like Elvis is big already,so let’s cover him. My method is if it exists it’s already worth analysing. It’s a much better way. Literally all fields I’m into have their histories erased by the mainstream because
It’s the public/journalists first encounter with them and it’s because of that “wait till it comes” mentality. Unlike painting or film which actually gets relatively thorough treatment. So ima change it up by reporting on every art/entertainment/sport like its painting, study
The techniques/analyse them and fully reporting on the field as a whole, not just one figure. Once that works, Britney/Madonna and the others will get to the level of a Debussy and it’ll legitimise them. I’ve noticed most historians are super lazy. It’s time to change that.
It’s time to break down the pretentiousness and the look down of arts like pro wrestling/pop divas/fashion design/porn etc in serious analysis. It’s time to bring srs attention towards them. Anyway yeah, just a sleepy basic opinion 😂, end thread. 🤗🤗🤗
