I am a married woman with a doctorate. I teach college and advise college students. My husband, a college-educated scientist, and I own a home, pay taxes, volunteer, and vote.
In 2019, I was told I needed his & #39;permission& #39; to get my tubes tied. It& #39;s only going to get worse.

Guys, I& #39;m touched at this support. It& #39;s extremely difficult being blue in a red state, and even more frustrating to be a #feminist (husband also a #feminist) here. I guess until I birth at least two crotch goblins I don& #39;t want, I& #39;m a hormone-filled, second-class citizen.
I& #39;m even more concerned about the women who don& #39;t have the ability to wait or travel for reproductive freedom.
I& #39;m scared for this country.

That& #39;s the big issue. Women without this ability are being trapped and losing their rights to reproductive choice.
