Yorba Linda today: a massive Trump rally filled with open white nationalists screaming explicitly racist things and attacking anyone they thought was BLM, including media. A car ran through the crowd of Trump supporters, causing at least several injuries. Videos in this thread:

The counterprotest was scheduled to start at 2pm. I got there at about 2:40 with @waterspider__ and the Trump supporters had already moved into the BLM side and were trying to push them out.

This was the scene when I arrived. Note the white power hand sign, the Trumper demanding to know a person's nationality, and another Trumper at the end threatening a person with a weapon, saying their shield "won't stop what I have in my hand"

Fights broke out immediately as the Trump supporters attempted to physically push the BLM protesters out of the parking lot. The Trump supporters grabbed a BLM protester and tried to drag them into their crowd. They were rescued after a struggle

Trump supporters continued to push forward into the BLM crowd. One of them shoved a woman with a shield, and then she pushed him back with her shield.

OC Sheriffs declared an unlawful assembly as Trumpers continued to push into the parking lot. A car ran straight through the crowd of Trump supporters, injuring at least one person. The Trump supporters broke the back window as the car drove off

Trump supporters pursued the car. The driver kept going until they were far enough away to safely stop and surrender to the sheriffs. They complied with sheriffs' commands and were handcuffed as sheriffs yelled at Trump supporters to back up

Just to note an inconsistency in my thread here real quick: in the first tweet I said "at least several injuries." Technically I only know for a fact that one person was injured, because I saw video of their leg injury. But I would be very surprised if nobody else was hurt

After the car incident, Trump supporters continued attacking BLM protesters and pushing them out of the parking lot

Trump supporters continued to push the BLM side out. BLM protesters were badly outnumbered at this point. One of them got in my face and told me to "get the fuck out" as I was standing there quietly filming

Trump supporters pushed BLM protesters out of the parking lot and continued pushing them down a street, cursing, jeering and threatening. They kept yelling that BLM protesters had knives, this was false. Only the Trump supporters had weapons

BLM protesters began shouting "Breonna Taylor" as they retreated and Trump supporters shouted back "was a drug dealer!"

Trump supporters chanted "off our streets! Off our streets!" One of them snatched a sign from a BLM protester and tore it up

Trump supporters shoved, threatened and punched BLM supporters, and one of them pulled a Taser (not seen in video, but you can hear it sizzle)

Trumpers continued threatening and pushing BLM protesters. In response to a chant of "Breonna Taylor," one of them yelled back "Charles Manson!" Another one accused somebody of being racist against the cops

Trump supporters knocked someone to the ground and beat them. One of them had the Taser out, I didn't see it but you can hear it again. Then one of them maced the BLM crowd

A Trump supporter accosted an old woman, trying to snatch a sign from her hand. One of them threatened me and I told him I'm a "non-combatant"

As BLM protesters continued to chant "Breonna Taylor," Trump supporters yelled back "fuck her!" and "Breonna Taylor's a lie!"

Trump supporters continued to threaten BLM protesters, and started yelling "fuck that bitch" about Breonna Taylor. A BLM protester who had been working to de-escalate got them to agree to let the BLM protesters leave

Trump supporters joked about bringing guns, falsely claimed they had only attacked people in self-defense and said "we're being nice, next time you guys come, not so nice," after they had (among other things) attacked women and maced people

Trump supporters pushed BLM protesters into a line of OC Sheriff riot cops. The sheriffs yelled at the BLM protesters to get back, forcing them back into the much larger crowd of Trump supporters that had repeatedly attacked them

Another line of OC Sheriff riot cops formed on the other side of the parking lot, leaving both groups with the same parking lot as their only exit route

This Trump supporter was STOKED at the opportunity to follow orders from the cops
