Prom was a few weeks away, and all that circulated in Sasuke's mind was the best way he could ask Naruto to be his date. Sasuke has been crushing on the blond since freshman year when they first met (they're seniors now) and hasn't gathered up the courage +
to ask him out yet. It didn't help that Naruto was as oblivious as one could be, and that anytime Sasuke even attempted to be romantic Naruto would interpret it as Sasuke being friendly because the raven was usually distant.

This whole love thing confused the hell out of Sasuke,
but he knew one thing: he had to take his chance before it was too late, and that chance was their school's upcoming dance.

Naruto had presented the idea of them having a sleepover this Friday night, and Sasuke planned to ask him Saturday morning after treating him to
breakfast, because they had a tradition where whoever hosted the sleepover would treat the guest to their restaurant of choice the following day and it was Sasuke's turn to host.

Sleepovers with Naruto were always the most entertaining. The blond would insist on watching
a horror movie or two, and he would get scared every time and end up clutching on to Sasuke like he was a life line. Sasuke didn't find the movies scary, but Naruto burying his face into Sasuke's shoulder during a jump scare make his heart beat faster than any serial killer
could. He was just glad Naruto couldn't see his blushing face whenever he did it.

They ate a bunch of junk food, played video games, beat the shit out of each other with pillows - the usual. Naruto ended up falling asleep on Sasuke's bed, so with a small, content smile, Sasuke
gathered a couple of thick blankets from the hall closet and set up a little makeshift bed on the floor. He had a hard time falling asleep - his mind was running a mile minute with all of the different outcomes of tomorrow after breakfast, but eventually the exhaustion caught up
with him and he drifted, dreaming of wild blond hair and sparkling blue eyes.

Sasuke, despite falling asleep after Naruto, was the first to wake up. It wasn't unusual. Sasuke was always the first to wake up, and if he didn't wake up Naruto, the blond would sleep well into the
afternoon.

Sasuke gathered up the blankets he took from the hall closet and folded them, setting them aside in a corner of his room. He gathered up some clothes and left to the bathroom where he changed and used the toilet. He quickly brushed his teeth, eager and anxious to get
get on with the morning.

He left the bathroom and quietly peeked his head in his room, trying not to gauge if Naruto had woken up while he was in the bathroom.

Surprisingly, he had. Naruto was sitting up, looking around Sasuke's room with a look of confusion on his face, like
he had never seen it before. That struck Sasuke as weird, because Naruto has probably spent more time at Sasuke's house than he has his own.

With Naruto sitting up, the blanket he was covered with fell to pool around his waist, and Sasuke raised an eyebrow at the attire he was
wearing. Instead of the white t-shirt he wore to bed, Naruto was wearing what looked like a bright orange and black zip up jacket - and was that a headband tied around his forehead? The jacket didn't look like something Naruto wouldn't wear, but doesn't remember the blond owning
such a jacket. The headband also confused him, but he wouldn't be surprised if Naruto started wearing them like they were the next best thing.

He creaked open the door and slowly stepped in, calling out to his friend as not to startle him.

"Naruto?"

Naruto's head snapped
towards his direction, and his eyes widened as he took in Sasuke's appearance, a mix of surprise and disbelief taking over his confusion. "Sasuke...?" He murmured.

Sasuek nodded and stepped in the room completely, quietly shutting the door behind him with a small click.
Naruto looked him up and down, his eyes taking in every inch of Sasuke, from his black socks to the fan necklace he wore. Sasuke felt uncomfortable under Naruto's gaze. There was something about it, something different that set of little bells in his mind, though he tried his
best to ignore them, instead settling on why Naruto was acting weird.

Suddenly, Naruto got up, swinging his feet over the side of the bed and crossing the room with a speed Sasuke didn't know he had.

Sasuke held in a yelp of surprise when Naruto slammed his back against the
door, holding a weird looking knife up to his throat.

"You're not Sasuke," he growled, "Who are you?"

"This isn't funny, Naruto," Sasuke answered with annoyance, eying the knife cautiously. "Where the hell did you even get this thing?" He nodded slightly down to the weapon
being held against his neck. Naruto only tightened his grip on it, pressing it closer so that Sasuke could feel cool blade dig into his skin. He winced at the sting of pain and the cold trickle of blood that fallowed as the knife made a tiny cut.

"I'll ask again. Who are you?"
"I'm Sasuke! Sasuke Uchiha!" Sasuke snapped, angry. "Stop screwing around, Naruto! This isn't funny, you loser."

"You're lying," Naruto glared. "I know Sasuke, and you aren't him. I can tell."

"I could say the same about you! How do I know you aren't Naruto?"
Naruto blinked, caught off guard by Sasuke's question. "What?"

"How do I know you're not a fake?" Sasuke challenged. "The real Naruto would know who I am, and he wouldn't be carrying around a damn knife, let alone know how to use it."

"I-"

"And he wouldn't wear such an ugly
jacket. I've seen him wear some weird things, but that monstrosity takes the cake." Okay, so Naruto would actually wear something like that, but Sasuke was pissed off and he knew it this was actually Naruto then the blond would offend and distracted, giving Sasuke the opportunity
to create some distance between them.

"Hey! I'll have you know this jacket is awesome, you bastard!" Naruto, like predicted, got distracted. He lowered the knife away, and Sasuke didn't hesitate to use that newfound freedom to slam his knee into Naruto's stomach, causing the
blond to groan in pain and drop his weapon to clutch his stomach. Sasuke picked up the weird knife amd held it out defensively.

"Listen, I don't know what the fuck is going on, Naruto, but you're going to tell me everything. Now."

Naruto let go of his stomach, glaring up at
Sasuke with anger. He brought his hands up and made a sign with them, and the only warning Sasuke got was a "poof" sound before one Naruto turned into two, amd he was left gawking at the clone in the room.

He wouldn't admit it to anyone, but his grip on the knife loosened, and
his vision started to darken as his eyes rolled to the back of his head. Sasuke dropped the knife and fell forward, passed out. The original Naruto caught his body and shared a look of confusion with his clone, who in turn shrugged and poofed away, not needed anymore since Sasuke
was unconscious and not currently a threat. Naruto picked him up, bridal style, and set Sasuke down on the bed he woke up in, sitting down on the edge next to his best friend's sleeping body.

He didn't know what compelled him to - maybe it was because this person looked like
Sasuke - but Naruto brushed the raven's bangs back from his face, admiring the look of peace he wore.

He didn't know what the hell was going on, or where he was, or why Sasuke passed out when Naruto used his shadow clones. It was obvious this wasn't his Sasuke, but the raven
was adamant that he was, in fact, Sasuke, and that he knew Naruto. Hell, he honestly thought Naruto was playing some sick joke on him by threatening his life with that kunai. Who the hell does that kind of thing, anyways?

Naruto shifted through his memories of what he could
remember before he woke up in this room, but it was mostly fuzzy. He remembers being assigned a mission with team 7, he remembers going to the Land of Crystals, a small country where they specialised in manufacturing crystalized items out of the crystals that grew by the shore.
Naruto could remember a the bad guy; some old dude with an obession for power and an ugly face. He remembers a purple light, the scream of his name from three different voices - two male, one female - and the cackle of the old man.

Then, he remembers being blasted back, and
waking up here, in a room he didn't regconize with different things he's never seen before. And Sasuke, who had long left him to kill his brother and join up with the Akatsuki, was there too, dressed differently and his eyes lacked the hatred and pain they used to have, instead
holding a small concern as he watched Naruto from the door.

Naruto assumed the purple light played a part in his sudden change of location. The old man was messing with something, but Naruto couldn't remember what, only that it was dangerous and needed to be stopped.
First things first, he needed to know where he was. To find that out, he could either go out and look around, or wait for Sasuke to wake up and collect answers from him.

As he looked around the room once more, Naruto realized that wherever he was, he was no longer in the
Land of Crystals. It wouldn't be smart for him to wander around in unknown land, he's learned that lesson already.

Having made up his mind, Naruto gently pushed over the unconscious Sasuke and laid down next to him on the bed. Might as well get comfortable in case he has to wait
awhile, ya know? He closed his eyes, hoping to rest for a few minutes until ths time came when he would (politely, this time around) ask Sasuke for answers.

It wasn't long until Naruto fell asleep, turning to throw an arm around Sasuke's middle as he snuggled into the pillow.
-- TBC --
"I see you and Naruto have gotten closer, little brother."

Sasuke's eyes fluttered open, and it took him a few seconds to realize where he was. He felt a weight on his waist, and he recognized the familiar comfort of his bed underneath him. He pulled his head up from his pillow,
and looked and turned it slightly, blinking at the direction of the voice.

Itachi stood at the foot of his bed, a small, teasing smile on his face. Sasuke stared at him in confusion, not understanding his brother's words.

Itachi looked to Sasuke's left, and Sasuke followed
his line of vision. Naruto - not his Naruto, but the weird one with the headband and knife - was asleep next to him, a dopey smile on his face as he snores lightly, an arm draped around Sasuke's middle.

Sasuke's cheeks reddened, and he looked up at Itachi, ready to deny any
assumptions his older brother could have made. Itachi shook his head, and held up a finger to his lips.

"We don't want to wake him, now do we? I merely wanted to check on the two you, Sasuke. I'll be taking my leave now. Have fun."

Itachi sent him one last smile and turned
around, leaving Sasuke's room and closing the door with a quiet click.

Sasuke let out a sigh and sat up, brushing his bangs away from his face. Naruto's lax arm around his waist tightened suddenly, fingers pressing in his side and Sasuke jumped at the touch, turning his head to
look over at Naruto again.

Naruto's eyes were open, and he was staring at Sasuke with a look of sympathy mixed with barely hidden anger.

"That was Itachi," he murmured.

Sasuke nodded, "Were you awake this whole time?"

"Ever since he entered the room," Naruto responded.
--- TBC im sorry for the short update im very tired ---
"You seem... tense," Sasuke observed, curious as to why Itachi's appearance would elicit such a response from Naruto. Naruto - /Sasuke's/ Naruto - loved Itachi, if not a little put off by his serious demeanor. Sometimes Sasuke's mind would betray him and play with the though of
Naruto having a crush on Sasuke, but everytime it seemed like Naruto could read his mind to an extent, and he would casually mention how much he cherished their friendship, just between the two of them. It broke Sasuke's heart and at the same time lifted it. Of course, it was
friendship, but Sasuke himself cherished being able to have Naruto in his life.

"I don't have the best experience with your brother." Naruto said, and his thumb was brushing up and down Sasuke's side as he talked. Sasuke felt his cheeks heat up and he wondered if Naruto was
doing it on purpose, or if the blond had no idea that his touch was like fire licking at Sasuke's skin. Sasuke prefered the latter, only because he didn't think he could handle Naruto flirting with him, real or not. It was too much for the raven to handle, and Sasuke always
prefered to make the first move, that way he had more control over his emotions and the situation. It would have been him to initiate the contact, and there wouldn't be any surprises or something that would set Sasuke off balance.

"... some questions?"
"Huh?" Sasuke blinked, dumbfounded.

Naruto huffed, muttering something about "deaf temes" and Sasuke's face reddened even more, this time in embarrassment.

"I was wondering if I could ask you some questions," Naruto repeated, "About... here."

"Here?" Sasuke parroted.
"Yeah," Naruto stopped running his thumb over Sasuke's side and Sasuke let out an internal sigh of relief. He pointedly ignored the feeling of disappointment that stemmed from his heart. Naruto sat up and tightened his headband. "This definitely isn't the Land of Crystals."
Sasuke motioned for Naruto to move with a wave of his hand, and Naruto rolled of his bed, landing on his feet. Sasuke pushed himself off of his bed and grabbed his phone off of his nightstand, turning it on to check the time.

11:34 A.M.

Luckily, his parents wouldn't be home for
a few more hours. That, hopefully, gives Sasuke enough time to figure out a solution to his current problem.

"That's because the Land of Crystals doesn't exist, dummy. Have you been reading one too many of the fantasy novels Sakura lends you?"
