There are plenty of people who will speak death to your dreams and aspirations, and the reason why is that they gave up on theirs long ago.
For these people, their desire to speak death to you and your dreams/aspirations is because they never believed in themselves to begin with

Don’t let a self-centered settler in on your dreams, because not only will their support be minimal, they will be the ones who make you most comfortable in settling.
They are not for you.
They are not with you.
They are not for you.
They are not with you.
They find affirmation in other people settling because they were too weak and passionless to fight for their dreams.
These people will make you comfortable in slowing you down and stopping you because they can’t cope with the reality that someone might achieve their dream while they never accomplish theirs.
They’d rather celebrate in the pain of unfulfilled purpose and accomplishment than find out the reason for their failure by looking in the mirror.
Stop looking for life-giving affirmation to keep striving forward from those who settled for the squalor of stagnancy.
The ultimate litmus test to determine these people? Keep striving forward. They’ve long settled for the comfort of stagnance and don’t have the capacity and stamina to keep up.
One last word to the wise: As you keep striving forward, understand that the last-gasp effort of these underachievers is their last-grasp effort to grab coattails, hoping to ride your pursuit of your dream and somehow make it their own.
Give ‘em the gift of goodbye.
Only look back to make sure they’re not riding your coattails.
