It is not everyone's immediate job to educate perpetrators. It hurts to see your friends be burned at the stake, but this was coming their way. Please. Let people deal with their trauma first, in anger. This seems like you're expecting them to face pain without anger. https://twitter.com/renzoolim/status/1309943265639063552
I dont think that's any way to heal. If you're the type to cancel people to without correcting them, then you are contributing to a system of isolation that ostracizes those who need reform the most; Lim's take is for you. But if you are the victim finally coming out
to divulge your experiences, then you are NOT entitled to educate your perpetrators if involving yourself with them deteriorates your mental health. They are NOT entitled to your forgiveness. DO NOT feel sorry that you exposed them, but do be rational when doing so.
Tbh tho this system of exposing > cancelling > friends protecting them against cancel culture makes perpetrators feel powerful kasi alam nila na when they get exposed and cancelled, nagiging mas biktima sila kaysa sa totoong nabiktima. Pero sige ibang usapan yan.
Yall may not be condoning their actions but yall are definitely protecting them from the consequences they should face lol justice aint like that 😗
