If you are old enough to remember what things were like before the ACA, keep in mind that lots of younger voters were not. They're not going to know unless you speak with them about it.
For instance, when I lost health insurance after graduating college, the idea of purchasing it never crossed my mind. It just wasn't a thing. But my asthma medication cost $500+ a month. My doctor gave me samples till they cracked down, then wrote a script for my insured sister.
The ACA let so many people go to the doctor and finally get treated for X, Y, and Z. Or as insurance companies will now get to label them (again): pre-existing conditions.
