In announcing the nomination, Trump turns to Barrett and says: "I looked and I studied, and you are very eminently qualified for the job. You are going to be fantastic."
Trump notes that Barrett would be the first mother of school-aged children ever to serve on the Supreme Court.

"Amy is more than a stellar scholar and judge. She is a profoundly devoted mother."
Trump highlights Second Amendment rights, religious liberty, public safety and equal protection in his nomination speech.
Barrett now speaking: "I love the United States and I love the United States constitution."
Barrett praises the legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and notes that the flag in front of the Supreme Court is still flying at half-staff.

"She not only broke glass ceilings, she smashed them,” Barrett says of Ginsburg.
