Here’s a question I don’t think the Trump folks have considered.

Suppose that Trump’s nominee gets confirmed this year. Which would mean that we’d have a Supreme Court with 6 conservative Justices ...

What would we still need Trump for?

To be clear, I am pro-life, conservative and have always opposed Trump.

But people have been telling me for years that I and others like me needed to vote for Trump because of SCOTUS.

Okay. I never agreed.

But now that we’re here, why would I or anyone else STILL need him?

The balance of the court, if this nomination goes through, would be 6 conservatives to 3 liberals. The next oldest Justice is Breyer, an 82 year old liberal appointed by Clinton.

If Biden is elected and gets to replace him, the balance of SCOTUS would still be: 6 to 3.

Trump and Trump nation may not realize it yet. But this pick actually gives conservatives who are concerned about Trump’s behavior in office one LESS reason to consider voting for him. Not one more reason.

So if you’re a fan of pro-life Justices but not a fan of Presidents who claim they have “total authority,” who kowtow to Putin or who suggest that maybe Americans should ingest cleaning products to get rid of COVID, WHY would you vote for Trump?

We have the Justices already.
