I work with an organization (which they can reveal if they want) that uses a restorative justice model in the workplace. Some observations: https://twitter.com/Katrina_HRM/status/1309920794181394432">https://twitter.com/Katrina_H...
* It works because Black and brown people run the process. Most specifically, a critical mass of women and other underrepped genders have the majority of the responsibility (by, choice + it’s compensated)
* It works because people are trained really well, which means making a major investment up front
* It works because they hired experts to lead them through it the first several times, until others could see it in action
* It works because just enough folks in the org are fluent in abolition and are actively seeking out new ways of being in community without an obsession with crime, proof, punishment, and incarceration
* Last point: It works because the leader of the org presented a vision of why and how this would be the norm and also participates. ijs there are better models all around us if you’re open to it https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💫" title="Symbol für Benommenheit" aria-label="Emoji: Symbol für Benommenheit">
