I see the rumour mill is churning. Here are the facts.
Due to COVID, Postmedia has decided no employees, across Canada, would return to the workplace until 2021.
We’ve all been working (even harder) at home for six months (did you notice a big difference?)

Our lease ended, our office would be empty for 9 months, maybe much longer & it was too big.
Like all newspapers, we’re in financial crisis because people don’t want to pay for news, so we closed the office.
We’re still doing what we’ve been doing all along but at home. 2/4
It raises an issue: most of our work is shared freely on Google, Twitter, FaceBook, PressReader. Fewer readers/advertisers pay our salaries now. Daily papers continue to disappear & online readers will soon be left with only unchallenged news releases from gov/agencies. 3/4
In many countries, governments are being urged to force the social media giants, who are making BIG bucks circulating the work of my colleagues, to pay a share. I hope you can support that. 4/4
