Iraq Twitter is a delightful bubble. It has the magical ability to make you believe that protesters of the October Uprising are a majority in Iraq, but they are not!
The numbers of Sadrists & loyalists in this country are massive, much larger than the numbers of the protesters.

The electoral process is defective & is in desperate need for urgent, radical reforms. No Iraqi patriot in their right mind can argue against the extreme necessity of radical political reforms in general & electoral reforms in particular.
Those reforms must come through continued popular pressure in order to force our rotten politicians to compromise & submit to the will of the people. However any argument that aims to dissuade people from voting will result in a predominantly loyalist parliament, make no mistake!
If the argument against voting in next year& #39;s general elections gains momentum & Liberal Iraqis sit at home & boycott the elections, Sadrists & loyalists will go out & vote in large numbers & put their people in Parliament because let& #39;s face it they are the demographic majority.
Getting rid of the bad guys slowly & steadily through consistent political involvement & participation PLUS continued popular pressure on the political elite in the form of protests in order to force them to implement political & electoral reforms is the way to go.
