Just so we’re clear, there have been 113,645 cases in Wisconsin, with 1,281 deaths.

That is a rate of ~1.12%.

Which means 98.88% of cases recover. 1/ https://twitter.com/fox6now/status/1309930802965368832
This is also after ~2 months of a mask mandate.

Which clearly isn’t working.

But which was just extended for two more months. 2/
We are not getting the full story here. I can tell you we have fewer than 10 positive patients in the facility and 1 in ICU.

Also, looking at DHS data for the most recent available year (2017), here are deaths in Wisc.:

Cancer: 11,287
Drug overdose: 1,171 (more on that in a subsequent tweet)
Heart disease: 11,815 (more on this below, too)
Unintentional injury mortality (Accidental death): 3,706 4/
There were 153 overdoses in Milwaukee County from Jan 1-June 11, 2019. As of June 11 this year (~3 months after lockdowns), that number was 192, with an additional 62 cases pending. We will absolutely see a significant rise in overdose deaths. 5/
Per Fox11, as of July 31, there have been at least 8,363 cardiac-related deaths in the first half of the year. So ~2/3 of last year’s total.

It’s clear the lockdowns caused significantly more damage than COVID, with long lasting implications for both health and the economy. 7/
@GovEvers has failed to act appropriately. Failed to lead. He implemented lockdowns and mask mandates that hampered the economy and cost more lives than COVID will. And I suspect he’ll try to use this to lock us down again into the fall. 8/
He was quick to condemn our law enforcement officers as racist killers after Kenosha. Thousands of Wisconsinites are still waiting for unemployment. He took the sound economy Scott Walker left him and ruined it. 9/
Time to recall him and reclaim our freedoms from his feckless governorship. 10/10
