The one message I would take to pro-EU Scots who are considering supporting independence on the basis we would be in the EU is...

**I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME**

Thread. Please share.
Politicians ask for your trust that you vote then they'll deliver on the mandate you give them; whether that's to stop brexit, put Scotland first, scrap council tax or a 3rd, 4th, 5th mandate for an indyref2... Or an oven-ready deal.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

When I say the SNP hid a lack of EU legal advice, supressed the findings of a parliamentary committee into EU it and are hiding a feasibility study into EU membership; I want you to check for yourself.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

When I say it's literally impossible to meet the economic Copenhagen Criteria under Sterlingisation; I want you to check for yourself.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

When I say the Growth Commission plans mean it could be 14 years or more to qualify to apply to the EU; I want you to check for yourself.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

When I say the SNP won't tell you if, when and how we might meet the Copenhagen Criteria; I want you to check for yourself.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

When I say a UDI or plan B is incompatible with EU membership if we aren't universally recognised; I want you to check for yourself.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

I take this seriously. I want the truth. I want Scottish voters to have the truth and be informed. I want this to be torn apart, checked line by line, and any faults or issues identified, redacted and fixed.
I DON'T WANT YOU TO TRUST ME.

Because you don't need to trust me.

There's a methodology to do this;

Stop. Investigate. Find. Trace.
And if you don't trust my links, fine; good! Google them yourself.
