Think about when you were born, and let’s say you’re 3, and having a normal day. On this random day when you’re 3, a kid is born who will grow up to be one of your best friends, or maybe something more. You don’t know about their existence at all
Which makes complete sense, but still somehow feels a little strange when you think about it. At least for me
This begs the question of whether or not we are in control of the future, or if we’re just following a path, which I personally believe to be false
But, even if we are just following a path that eventually will lead to the end, we have no way of knowing
We have no way of knowing. If we try and test fate by doing some wacky decision, wouldn’t it be fair to consider that it might be fate that you’ve tried to do said decision?
And if fate is real, how would we know how our fates intertwine with others in the future? Say you meet someone, and you say a couple words and then leave, and that’s that. But in the future, you meet again, and grow close. If it’s fate, would we be able to feel it?
I personally do not believe in fate, however in my mind, I can sorta visualize what it might look like, if you know what I mean. Sort of like a detectives board in cliche movies, with pins in the map and red strings all over connecting things and people together.
As I said previously we have no way of knowing. People either believe it or not, and any choice made can be because of free will or fate if you think about it.
Either way, the most interesting part about whether or not fate exists, are the reasons and arguments for and against it.
And what people’s thoughts on it are.
While I personally don’t believe it, we truly have no way of figuring it out. The reasons for and against are, for the most part, plausible.
Either way, this is very fun to think about
