The claim that "everyone" saying they've experienced misogynoir from Black men means they are pathologically violent is interesting, because I've seen Black men talk about how they've been harmed by women (including in childhood) and be told they're "bashing women."
I've tweeted threads about the physical and sexual abuse of Black boys by Black women and had folks call me "dangerous" and say I hate Black women for posting research that indicates women as primary perpetrators of these violences.
There's an investment in the narrative that only men commit violence within Blackness (or even that it's primarily men) and that women are only victims. There's an investment in silencing men who speak about abuse they've experienced from women in child and adulthood.
And if we think about the rates that research shows that men and boys are sexually abused and physically/emotionally abused by women, it stands to reason that some folks have a lot to gain from that silence because they know what they would say if they were given space to speak.
