Obviously it comes down to the subtle difference in spices. Gingerbread requires a LOT more of every spice, especially ginger, nutmeg and clove. Not shown but vital: cocoa powder.
Into the pans. I also covered each with a spiced brown sugar mix but forgot to take a pic before throwing in the oven.
