Selling Local SEO to Yell customers works well

They’re familiar with:

- Paying monthly
- Getting nothing
- An impersonal service

I called thousands of these guys.

Many are unhappy.

👇🏻
I have ex-Yell clients

Yell do us a favor by priming local customers to pay monthly

Yet they deliver nothing, usually.

This allows us to swoop in and outperform Yell in every way:

- Results
- Communication
- Real relationship
- Bespoke approach
The problem we face?

Yell customers get bombarded a LOT

In order to win their business, you’ll need to:

1. Be different
2. Followup a lot
3. Have a great offer
4. Fix their problems

Let me explain these four points...
1. Be different

Whether it’s your pitch, contact method or offer, just don’t sound like everyone else

They’ve heard it before
2. Follow up a lot

Although some clients fall into your lap, many DO take 5-12+ follow ups

Each time you follow up (with value, not to pester) you exemplify your commitment to them

You also aren’t just a Yell salesman who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

You want to help
3. Have a great offer

No matter how different you are or how often you follow up, you need a great offer

Great offers are defined by the problems they solve

Make sure to dig deep to find out what your prospect’s problem really is.
You can do this simply by auditing their website and seeing their problems first hand

However, their perception of their problems is also important.

So... ask them!

But make sure to really uncover the answer

Most won’t start blabbing their pain points to you right away
4. Fix their problems

This ties in with point 3

Uncover their problem and fix it.

We can start doing this before the sale is made to build our credibility and value.

Here are some things I’ve done for Yell clients before taking them on and retaining their business:
- Calling Yell to dissect what they’re paying for & analysing which is giving them an ROI

- In person visits, video audits, advice and recommendations

- Generating a lead & giving it to them for free

- Helping them leave their contract (they’re too busy and it’s a pain)
- Doing low effort tasks for free, like linking their GMB to their website, optimising the GMB name and pushing them up the SERPS

- Spend money at their business, bring friends, build a personal relationship they don’t get with Yell

- Basically, help them to trust you
It’s good to know more about Yell customers in case you ever come across one!

... Which you certainly will.

They have tens of thousands of local clients paying them monthly!
